Write More is a study board to help improve children’s ability to concentrate. The microphone and speaker inside the board amplify scratchy, scribbly “writing sounds” made by writing utensils, in order to immerse the child in the writing experience. With the emergence of smartphones and tablets, kids are exposed to an expanding world of touchscreen-based experiences. To enable children to enjoy the basic act of writing, the non-profit organization issue+design developed this study board based on research from the University of Tokyo Graduate School.The “W” logo, a motif of a doodle, functions as the speaker hole, bringing together the listening and writing experiences.
